The Calgary Foundation launched Calgary's Vital Signs in 2007

  • to increase the effectiveness of the Foundation’s grantmaking
  • to better inform our donors about issues and opportunities
  • to spark discussion, encourage connections and inspire action

Vital Signs is an annual community check-up conducted by community foundations across Canada that measures the vitality of
our communities, identifies significant trends, and assigns grades in a range of areas critical to quality of life. Vital Signs is coordinated nationally by Community Foundations of Canada.
